Jamal Nassar PhD. MBA.

Jamal is a swimming Gold Medalist (100 meters) and an author (Financing Tech Startups). Jamal is an international consultant in Leadership, , Entrepreneurhsip and Strategy Design.

He is also specialized in Islamic Finance and Investment. He trains and coaches global managers, CEOs and C-level executives of fortune 100 companies across South East Asia and virtually around the world. He is often involved in coaching and mentoring entrepreneurs and early-stage startups on financing, business development and strategy. Currently mentoring over 10 startups in the Malaysia startup ecosystem.

Back in 2006 Jamal was part of a co-founding team that won a telecom license in Yemen valued at 149 Million USD. He is based in Malaysia, originally from Yemen, and blessed to have the opportunity to live and travel to more than 30 countries over 45 years. His most prized memory is growing up in Morocco.

Jamal works with global managers and startup founders to unlock performance and build cultures of genuine drive where teams belong. He has worked with, coached and trained professionals from over 80 nationalities.


Jamal started his career in 2002 as an international roaming coordinator for a MTN telecom group, worked in telecom for 6 years, after completing his MBA in 2009 he assumed a managing director position for a microfinance foundation for a year back in 2010. He was the Business Account manager for Facebook first operation in Malaysia back in 2011.

Since then, he has worked in projects in Malaysia, Qatar, Saudi, Vietnam, China, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and United Arab Emirates.

He is fully engaged in product development, designing thinking, business consulting and coaching since then. Jamal has eye for process, details and strategy. His excellent people skills have won him many testimonies from co-workers and business partners all over the world. He has been awarded Mentorship certificate from the Malaysian Innovation and Creativity Center. His idea on a Regtech concept paper won him third place in the Malaysian Central Bank Fintech event in 2016.

Jamal partners with regional and global training houses to design, pilot and launch pioneering EdTech products.

In 2018 Jamal received his Doctorate Degree from the prestigious INCEIF University under the Malaysian Central Bank and became a certified NLP Practitioner in the same year. He holds a triple major MBA degree from University Technology Malaysia (2009) in Strategic Planning, Venture Capital Management and Technopreneurship. He is also certified from a number of technology companies including Amazon, Facebook, Microsoft, Cisco and D-Link on business technology and computer network engineering.

Jamal expertise are in the areas of Finance & Investment, Technopreneurship, leadership, building Legionnaires teams and creating safe working cultures that inspire self-expression, open dialogue, creative process and honest, direct non-threatening feedback. Such environments stimulate personal drive and ownership.

Jamal employs instructional design techniques, a process that enables him to craft advance hands-on workshops that are mission specific with great extent of adaptability and purpose.
